We hope you enjoyed your runs at Longshaw on one of the best days of the
year and that you we will see you
again at Ilam (just north of Ashbourne) next Wednesday. At Ilam the family course will be
slightly different in that
rather than a fixed course it consists of a number of controls that you can
visit in any order (which we refer to as a
score course), there is a time limit of 40 minutes – and naturally you
start to lose points if you take longer than
40 minutes. And again there is a
longer course for more experienced orienteers. Also there is a NT café and a
superb
setting looking over the hills of Dovedale.
If we have whetted your appetite then we have an event at Chinley Churn,
near Chapel-en-le-Frith on Sunday 25th September
which will offer a range of course up to Light Green for entry on the day as
well as pre-entry for more serious courses.
