Planners notes
Kedleston Park was a delight to be a first-time EM League event planner, despite its technical limitations. After more than a decade of starts and finishes in the northern part of the area, I chose to relocate these to the south, which offered a fresh perspective on the area. The biggest headache was devising courses to reduce the temptation of climbing carefully-maintained fences, hence the predominance of purple lines and crossing point symbols - not everyone's cup of tea. Hopefully this didn't detract too much from the experience. Active clearances in the northern enclosure also demanded some late changes for the longer courses. It was great to see so many families out there.  Grateful thanks to the time and advice given by Stuart Swalwell, John Hurley, Andy Hawkins, as well as Jon Lewney of the National Trust.

Constructive comments good or bad are welcome to email address below.

We are concerned at the number of entry forms with no safety information completed nor who is shadowing children.  You don’t think anything will happen to you. Obviously Kedleston on a nice day was unlikely to be a problem and of course you will remember to come to download but if we have too many people not accounted for we might miss starting a search for someone who really is injured out there.
